Happy Birthday Grandma Reimann!!!

On Saturday I went to Salt Lake to celebrate my Grandma Reimann's birthday.

When I was a little girl my Aunt Kristie took the older cousins to tea ALL the time. I have the best memories of tea parties. We used to go to a tea parlor down-town called Lady Elizabeth. The servers dressed in big gowns and served high tea. I loved the little cucumber sandwiches and fruit scones. Kristie and I have been to several tea parlors over the years. It is one of my favorite traditions.

Kristie and I decided to host a big tea party for all the girls. It took a lot of time and planning but it was amazing and wonderful.

We are all HUGE Jane Austin fans so we met at the theater and saw Ausinland. My grandma laughed her head off. It was so cute to listen to her.

Then we met at Kristie's house for tea.

Just look at this table!!! I could stare at it all day. It makes me want to live in the 1800's when they had high tea all the time.

We set up these beautiful tables. Kristie had enough tea sets for everyone. Some of them came from Prague. One of the tea sets I remembered from when I was a little girl.

Kristie made home made scones with clotted cream and lemon curd...I was in heaven!!!

All the lady guests starting to arrive

Miss Jakie in her cute tea hat.

Kristie set up an entire room full of dress ups and hats for the little girls to put on.

What cuties.

When grandma arrived she was so giggly and happy. It was so fun to watch her.

The chocolate chocolate chocolate cake from the bakery.

We sang happy birthday and let her blow out the candles.

Then we went out to Krisie's beautiful backyard to chat, drink tea and indulge on all the yummy goodies.

Claire ate it up!!! She loved changing into several different dress ups and having tea with the girls.

That is one thing I want to do with Claire. High Tea. It is such a girly thing to do. I love it!!!

Aggie Time!!!

Randy got tickets to the Homecoming Utah State vs. Weber football game. It was a riot. The town was packed with tailgate parties and students. Brad spent the weekend in Salt Lake with Nanny and Papa so he couldn't be there. He would have loved it. However, I am sure he had a riot in Salt Lake.

Matt and Tori have season tickets again this year so they saved us some awesome seats by the student section.

Cliare loved to watch the cheerleaders much more than the game.

Harrison loved the crowd. He was cheering and yelling the whole time.

Utah State fans are CRAZY and fun.

Harrison loved the pom poms.

At half time it started raining so we pulled out our ponchos. Harrison hated it!!!! He screamed.

And complained!!!

Once he figured he could get his hands out he didn't think it was bad. He then thought it was pretty cool.
We lasted until the start of the 4th quarter when it got too cold for the kids and the rain turned to downpour instead of sprinkle.

Matt and Tori made it the whole game. They are REAL fans!!!

Richmond City party and Matt and Tori's BBQ

Richmond City does a summer party every year. We had other commitments that night but the kids wanted to run over for a few minutes. While Randy was in the shower I took them over for exactly 5 minutes. Just enough time to try everything once.

Once down the slide...Backward of course.

Once through the maze...

Then we headed over to Merlin Olsen Park to join Matt and Tori's end of summer BBQ.

The adults sat and chatted while the kids ran around and played.

Wyatt and Harrison's cheese grins.

Uncle Tim spun Claire so long we thought we would all puke just watching her.

Lyndsee and Claire

Right before we left Reagan kept kissing and hugging Harrison. Harrison finally leaned over and full on licked the side of her face. This is her reaction after he did it. We we laughing our heads off. I wish I had it on video.
