Logan Kiwanis Summer Picnic and Auction

This was our first year going to the summer picnic. Nate Shields was in charge...(He is the president next year). Since it was an auction we had to bring something. I made my moms rolls and put a jar of raw honey with them. I raised $70 for Kiwanis...I was shocked and thrilled. After the picnic we fished on the property. This property was in the middle of Logan. Literally in the middle of the city. It was surrounded by trees and I had no idea it even existed.

I don't know why but these two girls think they need to pick each other up all the time.

Love Mr. Carter!!! He loved fishing.

It was hard for Randy to let the kids have turns. The fishing was so good. The things we sacrifice as parents.

Look at how huge these fish were. It was incredible! Did I mention this was right in the middle of the city???

H Loved it. I thought he was going to end up in the water. He was even trying to snag fish out of the water with just the net.

It was so much fun. We have loved being involved in the Kiwanis club,

Random August phone pictures

Randy has been playing in all sorts of golf tournaments this summer. He has been winning too. He has brought home money, gifts, new golf bag...just to name a few.

This one was the Stake tournament. Matt and Brad tagged along.

Randy played a few games of baseball this summer. I know he didn't play as much as he would have liked to. Things have been really busy this year with trips and starting a new business. During this game Claire and Ezra had to sit on the bench the whole time. Claire forgot to put shoes on, and Ezra had a huge blister on his foot. They were the cheering squad for their dads.

 Goofy kids.

Our neighbors behind us had a huge feeding trough. As you can see it makes an awesome pool.

One of  the many perks of Randy's job is taking clients out at night Sometimes if I am lucky I get to tag along. We took some of Randy's clients to see Les Miserables. It was amazing!!! We sat on the second row and could see all their facial expressions which made it even more amazing!

Our garden has been exploding. Sometimes I feel like the garden is so much work. But then it is all worth it when your garden gives back.

Marcy and Zak Miller came down from Idaho for a quick visit. The kids got to spend a Saturday afternoon catching up. They picked up right where they left off. It was like they never left. We love and miss the Millers so much. I love their girls.

I still get excited and feel grateful when I think about where we live. I love Richmond and love that we get to raise our kids here. I go running in the morning and get to see these beautiful sunrises.

I got a new washer this summer. It is so nice. I feel like a big girl. I actually kinda like doing laundry when it comes out so clean and I know it is being gentler on my clothes then my old agitator.

We did Tuesday park day with the neighborhood kids this summer. We only made it to a couple of them since we have been out of town so much. This was in Hyde Park.

This August has had some CRAZY thunder and lightning storms. We have barely seen any sun this last week. Right before school started there was some loud thunder so the kids jumped on my lap to snuggle. Too bad they had to go to school because I could have sat and held them all day.

Week in Salt Lake

Right after our pool party we headed to Salt Lake to spend the week. Randy had High Adventure camp with the scouts so we decided to go see our family

On Wednesday we went to Nanny and Papa's house. The kids dug right into the dress ups. Even Brad got in on the action. I was happy that he is still young enough to do stuff like that. He wasn't very happy I took a picture. I think I embarrassed him. He is getting so old. It makes me sad.

Claire and Nanny picked out some cute fabric for some new school skirts. Nanny was nice and let them all pick out their own fabric for a new pillow case. H was cute to watch pick out his fabric. He carried it around acting so proud.

Nanny and Papa bought us pizza and we went to the park. After the park we went to the Dollar Movie. We even went to the dollar store to pick out treats for the movie.

Ready to go. We saw Rio 2.

On Thursdy I met up with Jessica Hansen one of my good High School friends and went to lunch. I haven't seen her in years. It was nice to catch up.

Natalie brought the girls over and the cousins played in the yard and watched movies at grandma's house.

That night I met up with my siblings for dinner at Iggy's. We left the older kids at Nan and Eric's house to have a movie party and brought the younger ones with us.

Cute Tator Tot...she is getting so big!!! She looks so much like her daddy. She is such a beautiful baby.

We waited a long time to get our dinner and H was getting antsy. I gave him the camera and let him take about 100 pictures. It kept him busy.

H ate most of the chocolate cake. He was in heaven!

It was fun to have a date night with my little man.

On Friday we took the kids to the Zoo. Mom was watching Lisa's kids. She was at girls camp with her ward.

This is our I'm tired and need a nap face.

Benny was such a trooper. He was so happy all day.

We went to the bird show and the kids were loving it. I just love Corbin's face in this picture.

The famous corbin glasses. He cracks me up.

Waiting for the train.

H loved the train. As you can tell from this picture.

Salt lake trips are always packed with tons of fun and stuff to do.

While we were gone Randy was busy with the scouts. It rained on them most of the time but I think he had fun. Here are some pictures he sent.

They camped on Jackson Lake at Lizzard Creek

Warming up bums...it was wet and cold for them.

Moose Falls in Yellowstone

This was a rude picture to send us. Ice cream at Old Faithful.

Wildlife

Beautiful!!!

He even got to pan for gold near Colter Bay. Do you see that fleck of gold?? We are rich!

We sure missed our daddy and were glad to see him on Saturday.
