Fall Harvest Festival- American West Heritage Center

The kids were out of school on Friday for UEA break. Randy decided to take the day off to spend some time with the kids. We invited Justin and Tamara to come with us. Tori and Matt met up with us once they were done with their errands.

We walked around the farm and got to pet the farm animals.

I liked this so much better than baby animal days because it wasn't near as crowded.

They had a kid area where the they could play on the ropes, maze and hay.

Then we headed to the giant slide.

Harrison went down with Uncle Matt.

Ax throwing

BB guns.

The corn Maze

Thank goodness we had Justin following the map. The maze was huge and would have been impossible to get out of. We followed the map exactly and it still took us 45 minutes.

Yea!!! We made it out.

After the maze we headed to the Mountain Man displays.

We played old West games.

Brad and Gage caught a snake in one of the cabins.

Harrison wasn't so sure.

When the boys went to put the snake back they found this tiny snake right by it.

Quick wagon ride before dinner.

After the Festival we took the kids to dinner at Cafe Sabor. We ordered Brad a regular adult entree. He ate an entire HUGE burrito and about three baskets of chips. I am scared for him to be a teenager. I couldn't believe how much he ate.

Then we went back to the Heritage Center to do the Haunted Hollow. The kids were a bit nervous but liked it. Claire just stayed really close to her daddy and Brad held my had the whole way through. I was proud that they tried something that they were scared of.

It was a great family day!
