Memorial Day Weekend 2014

We went to Oxford, Idaho for our first camping trip of the year. It is just 10 minutes north of Time and Kamie's house.  Justin and Tamara know a couple that own 500+ acres and the agreed to let us camp on their property. We were the only ones there and it was absolutely beautiful. Memorial Day weekend is usually packed with people so it was nice to be isolated.

We went with the Nortons, Shields, Tim and Kamie, and the Nelsons.

All the men worked on Friday so the kids just played around camp.

We could see forever so the kids got to explore more than normal.

Did I mention this place was beautiful!?! These pictures just don't do it justice. Everything was so green and the mountains behind us were breathtaking.

The girls wasted no time at all setting up their fort.

The weekend was so relaxing. I just sat in a camp chair and watched the kids play.

There was a small stream that we let them put their feet in.

The weather was perfect. It was warm during the day then chilly at night.

The mountain view was gorgeous at night.

The next day we shot guns and went for 4 wheeler rides, and the kids were content to play around camp.

We took a nice long ride with the kids on the "buggy"

We drove into a grove of pine trees and it was so pretty I had to jump out to take a picture.

We live in such a beautiful place.

This was the Norton's first trip in their new trailer.  We made a lofty goal to go camping at least 40 nights this year.

We finally talked Tamara into letting Gage try out a motorcylce. He loved it and I think we got him hooked.

Silly Tiger. He cracks me up.

I had to work on Saturday night so I left camp. Randy texted me this picture and said it was raining/hailing like crazy.

It rained all night. Randy fed the kids early bathed them and they stayed in the trailer and watched a movie with dad.

When i got there the next morning the roads near Oxford had been closed through the night from mud slides. It was cute to see all the farmers our on their tractors trying to help each other dig out the mud. Since it was such a muddy mess at camp we decided to go to Downata Hot Springs. The kids had a riot. We stayed all day. I didn't have my camera so Kamie let me use hers.

(Pics to come)

The next morning it was time to pack up and go home. I really didn't want to. I could have stayed there for several more days.

Bring on camping. Bring on summer!!!
