Easter Weekend was a blur of activities. We started out the weekend with the Richmond City Easter egg hunt. Saturday morning the Lion's Club hosts a hunt. We moved into this house on Easter weekend 4 years ago so this hunt always makes me feel a bit nostalgic.
Signature cheese face.
They split up the hunts into ages so I was with Harrison and Randy took Brad and Claire. Harrison caught right on to picking up eggs and putting them in his basket. He didn't need much encouragement.
As soon as the hunt was over we loaded up into the truck and headed to Salt Lake to spend the weekend with family.
FISCHERS
We spent Saturday with Randy's family. Nanny and Papa did a fun egg hunt for the babies and everyone got stuffed easter baskets with all kinds of fun spring stuff.
This little jeep has been around forever. It seems like yesterday Brad was cruising around on it.
Once Harrison saw Reagan pulling the chocolate out of the eggs it was over. He just wanted to sit and eat chocolate. It was so cute.
The weather was so warm and beautiful. It was the perfect afternoon.
After the babies finished up their egg hunt Nanny and Papa took the kids into the house for a jelly bean hunt. They got to turn in their beans for money. Each color of bean was worth a different amount.
Nanny was the banker. It was fun to see them separate and count their money.
They ended up with quite the chunk of change to take home.
That night my mom bought all my family tickets to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at Hale Center Theater. Nannny and Papa kept the kids for us. It was nice to have a little date. The kids were way excited to have one on one time with them.
The play was fun and the special effects were really cool. My boss at the hospital was there. His daughter played a star role. She did a great job.
After the play we went to dinner with my family. Brad Kierstie and Steven put an entire cotton candy in their mouth. They were the entertainment for the evening.
GROSS!!!
REIMANNS
We spent Easter Sunday with my family. We got up early to do our family Easter baskets and egg hunt.
We watched a video about Jesus Christ and the resurrection. My dad and I sat and bawled like babies. I get my water pipes from both my mom and dad. I cry at everything. It was interesting to watch my kids get emotional too. It seem like after years of telling this story it is finally starting to stick. They knew the story and I didn't have to say much. I was so pleased to hear their testimony and perspective on Easter.
My mom made a really yummy brunch and all my nieces and nephews came to eat with us.
For Easter Grandma Moose gave all the grand kids a new beach towels with their name embroidered on it to go with the swimming passes she bought us for Christmas.
After breakfast we went to church in my home ward. It was so good to see some of the ladies I grew up with. It was also good to go to relief society. It has been such a long time since I have had a lesson. I love primary but I don't get to sit and enjoy very often. Even Sunday school was good.
After church we ate a delicious Easter dinner outside on the porch. The weather was still holding out. It was so sunny and warm. A much needed change after the very cold winter.
After dinner the kids convinced Grandpa Moose to get in the hot tub.
These kids are lucky!!! We never had a pool growing up. I guess that is the perk of being a grandchild.
While the kids played in the yard I played a board game that Steven and Kari brought. I haven't done that in a long time either. It was fun.
The next day is was time to pack up and go home. We went to IKEA to pick a few needed items along with some other items that we probably didn't need. I LOVE Ikea.
Then we made a quick stop at Planet Play.
We didn't stay long. It was CRAZY packed with kids. It was spring break. The lines were insane!
Plus we were in a hurry to get home so we could go camping over spring break.
